Genesis 1: 24-28

“And אלהים (Elohim, the Holy Spirit) said, Let the earth bring forth (חיה נפש Nephesh Chaiah) living soul”

Nephesh is soul, and Chaiah is life, thus it is translated as “living soul.” This is because the power of the Holy Spirit is in Chaiah, in life. That is why you find Chaiah, means life, living, and Chaioth, the plural of Chaiah, which means creatures. Any type of creature is a Chaiah, a life.

“after their מינה sex,”

This word Minah מינה, means “sex, kind, gender,” but we translated it as sex because it is more understandable, since everybody multiplies according to their sex, whether physically or spiritually.

“cattle, and creeping thing,”

What is a creeping thing? Something that creeps in your mind? This is what we have within our mind, a lot of creeping things, bestiality, ego, we are always thinking in how to do evil. The Zohar states:

“The creeping thing refers to Lilith, as has been stated, who is also denoted in the words; ‘Thou makest darkness and it is night, wherein all the beasts of the forest do move’. These words also include and denote those angelic beings called Chayoth (living creatures) who predominate and exert an influence equalling that of Lilith, and during the three watches of the night chant their hymns of praise until the morning dawns.” – Zohar

“And beast of the earth (the lion) after their מינה sex: and it was so. And אלהים Elohim made the beast of the earth after their מינה sex, and cattle after their מינה sex , and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after מינה their sex: and Elohim אלהים saw that it was good.”

“And Elohim אלהים said, Let us make Adam in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea (water), and over the fowl of the air (air), and over the cattle (earth), and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So אלהים Elohim created Adam in his own image, in the image of אלהים Elohim created he him; male and female created he them. And אלהים blessed them, and אלהים Elohim said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply,”

Thus, when Elohim said to them (פרו ורבו Peru Va’Rabi “grow and master”) we have to ask, master what; well, master the salt of the earth. Understand that in alchemy, mastery is represented in the salt of the earth, which is in our sexual secretions. Salt represents Mastery.

“Sulfur is the fire of alchemy, Mercury is the Spirit of alchemy, and Salt is the Mastery of alchemy.” – Treatise of Sexual Alchemy by Samael Aun Weor

So, it is not to be fruitful, and multiply like rabbits or like the beasts of the earth, but like human beings. When we study Alchemy, we know how to transmute the sexual energy, and how to be fruitful spiritually, and thus we know how to multiply spiritually also, that is, how to multiply our archetypes inside of us, in order to awaken in the internal planes.

People think that when Elohim said (פרו ורבו Peru Va’Rabi “grow and master”) Elohim is saying be fruitful and multiply or breed like rabbits, having many children. God does not need to give that commandment; even if it was not written, everyone would know, and would have children. Why would God command that? But, if it is Alchemically speaking, then there is a reason, because people do not know how to multiply internally, spiritually. That is why this is a commandment for Adam, not for the animals. The human being has to learn that…

“and replenish the (dry land ) earth (astral body), and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea (vital body), and over the fowl of the air (mental body), and over every living creature that moves upon the earth (physicality).” –  Genesis 1: 24, 25, 26, 27, 28
