Chastity – St. Francis

Our miserable and weak human flesh is like unto the hog which ever delighteth to lie down in the mud and to befoul itself therewith, deeming the mud its great delight. Our flesh is the devil’s knight; because it wars against and resists all those things which are according to the will of God and for our salvation.

Forget the Past

Above all, we cannot afford not to live in the present. He is blessed over all mortals who loses no moment of the passing life in remembering the past.

When we go to sleep most of us dream. These dreams are a projection of our mind. There is no point in recalling and analyzing them because they are just a reflection of the incorrect functioning of the mind.

Whether we are awake or asleep, it is imperative to not let the mind run wild. It should be subjugated to the master. This will bring us a greater degree of consciousness. A man who is fully conscious does not dream when he sleeps. By avoiding any projection of the mind he can have experiences of a higher nature with other beings or elementals.

One of the prerequisites to sleep is to still the body and mind. This is also conducive to meditation. Again, avoid a projection of the mind. Something else will provide the focus of your question or search. Samael Aun Weor

Muhammad

571 A.D. MUHAMMED. 632 A.D.
Prophet of God and Bringer of Light to Islam.
”The word this man spoke has been the life-guidance now of a hundred-and-eighty millions of men these twelve-hundred years. The hundred-and-eighty millions were made by God as well as we. A greater number of God’s creatures believe in Mahomet’s word at this hour, than in any other word whatever.” Thomas Carlyle. The Hero as Prophet. Mahomet : Islam. London: Chapman and Hall, Limited: Edition 1882: Page 53.

In the Koran, ”the light giving Book,” transmitted to Muhammed by the Angel Gabriel from the Lord “that He may stablish those who have believed, and as guidance and glad tidings to the Muslims,” it is written: “It beseemeth not a man, that God should give him the Scriptures and the Wisdom, and the gift of prophecy, and that then he should say to his followers, ‘Be ye worshippers of me, as well as of God;’ but rather, ‘Be ye perfect in things pertaining to God, since ye know the Scriptures, and have studied deep.’ God doth not command you to take the angels or the prophets as lords.
“Say: We believe in God, and in what hath been sent down to us, and what hath been sent down to Abraham, and Ismael, and Isaac, and Jacob, and the tribes, and in what was given to Moses, and Jesus, and the Prophets, from their Lord. We make no difference between them. And to Him are we resigned (Muslims) .” The Koran, Sura HI, The Family of Imran. Everyman’s Library Edition, pages 393-4.
